The Writing Challenges are back! You can join us for the very first one this year, the Spring challenge, which
runs from Monday 24th April - Sunday 21st May.
Registration is open from today until Friday 21st April, so that everyone has time to set their goals before we kick off on Monday.
The four-week challenge costs just $10. You can take part through our Facebook group (recommended) or by email.
Each Monday, you'll get a short (2-3 minutes) video to offer tips and encouragement. On Sundays, I'll pop a
"check in" thread on Facebook (and send out a check in email to those taking part by email), so you can share your progress that week.
You're encouraged to post as much as you like in the Facebook group to get support and encouragement (and to support and encourage other writers taking part in the challenge
too).
I hope the writing challenge will be a great way to make your writing more of a priority over the next few weeks. You might use it to kickstart a project, finish off something that's dragged on, or simply to enjoy spending more time writing.

I'm excited to hear what you'll be working on!
FAQs About the Spring Writing Challenge
Is the challenge suitable for beginners?
Yes, absolutely! You don't need any writing experience to join us. You set your own goal in the challenge, so there's no pressure to write lots or share your work or send it out into the world.
Is the challenge suitable for experienced writers?
Again, yes! You might want to push yourself with an ambitious goal or try out a new area of writing. We're here to support you and encourage you.
How much time will I need to commit to the challenge?
Obviously, the more time you can commit to your writing, the more you'll get done. ;-) But I know how tight writing time can be, and even if you only have a few minutes a day to spare for writing, we're here to help
you make the most of every one of those minutes.
If you can spare an extra couple of minutes on Sunday night to post in our Spring Writing Challenge Facebook group to share how you got on that week, that'd be great too!
Will I be sharing my work with other writers taking the challenge?
You're very welcome to share work-in-progress (or completed, published pieces!) in our Spring Writing Challenge Facebook group. It's
a private space so only other members of the challenge can see what you post.
However, there's no expectation (and certainly no requirement!) that you share your work. You're encouraged to tell us about your progress each week (e.g. "I wrote 1,000 words this week") but you don't need to share your writing
unless you'd like to.
If you've got any other questions about the challenge, just ask (you can hit "reply" on this email to get in touch).
Happy writing, and hope to see you in the Writing Challenge group,
Ali x
P.S. Registration for the Spring Writing Challenge closes TODAY. The sooner you join, the sooner you can join in the conversations already happening in our Facebook group, where members are introducing themselves, talking about their goals, and sharing their top writing advice.
